Safe and effective weight loss

You can expect to lose 2–5 pounds per week during the first two weeks and 1–2 pounds each week thereafter on the 5 & 1 Plan. It's safe, effective, and designed to meet your nutrition needs.

Typical day on the 5 & 1 Plan

Here's what your day could look like. Simply alter the times and the foods to suit your personal preference.

  • 7:00 a.m. - Medifast Chocolate Crunch Bar
  • 9:30 a.m. - Medifast Berry Crunch Cereal
  • 12:30 p.m. - Medifast BBQ Bites
  • 2:30 p.m. - Medifast Parmesan Cheese Puffs
  • 5:00 p.m. - Medifast Dutch Chocolate Ready-to-Drink Shake
  • 7:00 p.m. - 6 ounces of skinless chicken breast, 1/2 cup of broccoli, 1/2 cup cauliflower, and 1 cup raw spinach with 1 Tbsp Newman's Own Balsamic Vinaigrette
