V.I.P. Membership Terms & Conditions

ABOUT THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The following terms and conditions apply to Medifast, Inc. (referred to as "Medifast/we/our/us") and relate specifically to our V.I.P. Membership program. These terms and conditions may vary from our general terms and conditions. Medifast reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Medifast may notify you when there are changes to these terms and conditions. Medifast reserves the right to terminate your V.I.P. Membership account if you no longer agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

ENROLLMENT: To enroll in the V.I.P. Membership program you must select this option by selecting this Delivery Option on the checkout stage of your order. Medifast will activate your V.I.P. Membership account and begin your V.I.P. Membership program when your first V.I.P. Membership order is submitted. New customers should create an online account during checkout; existing customers should sign in using your current username and password during checkout.

V.I.P. MEMBERSHIP v V.I.P. PLUS MEMBERSHIP: All automatic monthly shipments are V.I.P. Membership orders. V.I.P. Plus Membership is a special, free upgrade that includes free gifts with the first two orders and discounts with subsequent orders. If your first two V.I.P. Membership orders qualify for our free gift and discounts offer, your account is automatically upgraded to V.I.P. Plus Membership. If your first two V.I.P. Membership orders do not qualify for our free gift and discounts offer, your account will not be eligible to upgrade to V.I.P. Plus Membership at any time. V.I.P. Membership and V.I.P. Plus Membership are hereafter referred to collectively as “V.I.P. Membership”, except where it is necessary to distinguish between them.

FREE GIFTS AND DISCOUNTS: Your initial V.I.P. Plus Membership upgrade enrollment entitles you to the following, subject to the terms and conditions of the V.I.P. Membership program:

  • 1st V.I.P. Plus Membership order: one free week of Medifast Meals (35 Medifast Meals total) and one free copy of The Secret Is Out: The Medifast Program Book
  • 2nd consecutive V.I.P. Plus Membership order: one free week of Medifast Meals (35 Medifast Meals total)
  • 3rd consecutive V.I.P. Plus Membership order: 5% discount on order total, excluding fees for shipping, handling, processing, sales tax, coupons, and other discounts
  • All subsequent, consecutive V.I.P. Plus Membership orders: 5% discount on order total, excluding fees for shipping, handling, processing, sales tax, coupons, and other discounts

To receive the above free gifts with your first and second consecutive V.I.P. Plus Membership orders, each of these V.I.P. Plus Membership orders must meet the following qualification(s): $250.00 minimum purchase; orders must be consecutive with no interruption or cancellation in your V.I.P. Membership service. Interruption or cancellation of your V.I.P. Membership service will result in forfeiture of future free gift offers. To receive the above discounts with your third and subsequent consecutive V.I.P. Plus Membership orders, each of these V.I.P. Plus Membership orders must meet the following qualification(s): orders must be consecutive with no interruption or cancellation in your V.I.P. Membership service. Free gift offers are subject to change. The free week of Medifast Meals is a prepackaged assortment of 35 Medifast Meals selected by Medifast and the contents are subject to change at our discretion. Medifast will not grant customer requests to substitute or customize the free week assortment. The free week of Medifast Meals is added to your qualifying V.I.P. Plus Membership order(s) and is not a discount.

SHIPPING: Your first V.I.P. Membership order will be processed immediately after your successful V.I.P. Membership order submission. Subsequent V.I.P. Membership orders will be processed four weeks or 28 days thereafter (or on the next business day*). V.I.P. Membership orders will ship within two business days* of your V.I.P. Membership ship date. V.I.P. Membership orders over $225.00 will receive free standard shipping within the U.S. Shipping costs are subject to change without notice. V.I.P. Membership orders will be delivered within our standard shipping timeframe; V.I.P. Membership orders do not receive expedited processing and/or shipping.

* Business day is defined as Monday through Friday, and shall not include any holidays or weekends.

MODIFICATIONS AND CANCELLATIONS: All modifications and cancellations to your V.I.P. Membership account information must be submitted electronically via your online account more than two business days* before your V.I.P. Membership ship date. Requests submitted less than two business days* before your V.I.P. Membership ship date will apply to your next scheduled V.I.P. Membership order.

Modifications: You may modify your V.I.P. Membership order contents, V.I.P. Membership ship date, shipping address, and/or billing/payment information at any time, subject to the terms and conditions of the V.I.P. Membership program. To modify your V.I.P. Membership order or account information, sign in to your online account and make a selection from the options presented. You may modify your V.I.P. Membership ship date to any date between five days before or five days after your scheduled V.I.P. Membership ship date. To allow for proper processing, your new V.I.P. Membership ship date cannot be set for the current day ("today") or the day after ("tomorrow").

Cancellations: You may cancel your enrollment in the V.I.P. Membership program at any time subject to the terms and conditions of the V.I.P. Membership program. To cancel your V.I.P. Membership orders, please call our Customer Care department at 1-800-209-0878 where one of our specialsts will assist you. Customer Care is available Weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Weekends 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST. Refusing or returning a V.I.P. Membership order or regular, non-autoship order does not automatically cancel your V.I.P. Membership enrollment. Your V.I.P. Membership orders will continue to be charged to your credit card and shipped as scheduled until you cancel your enrollment in the V.I.P. Membership program. You will be financially responsible for all orders shipped to you by Medifast up to the date your cancellation takes effect.

COST AND BILLING: There is no charge to join the V.I.P. Membership program. When you place your initial V.I.P. Membership order, we will request your credit card information through a secure online transaction process. Each month when your V.I.P. Membership order is processed, we will charge your credit card for the order amount. The actual billing date may vary slightly from month to month. The per-order charge may change if/when you modify the contents of your V.I.P. Membership order. All prices and fees are subject to change at any time. To view your order total and/or modify your credit card information at any time, sign in to your online account and click “Update payment details.” By enrolling in the V.I.P. Membership program, you authorize Medifast to automatically charge your credit or debit card so that the total of your monthly order is equal to the amount you have authorized. You agree to provide Medifast with updated credit card account information so that we can continue to ship according to your V.I.P. Membership schedule. You agree to pay all applicable sales taxes and shipping, handling, and processing charges.

FAILED PAYMENTS: If your credit card payment is declined when Medifast charges your account, we will notify you of the problem via email. To verify and/or change your credit card account information and resubmit your V.I.P. Membership order, sign in to your online account and click “Update payment details.”

It is your responsibility to ensure that your credit card account information is accurate and valid. To process your V.I.P. Membership orders, Medifast requires complete and accurate information, including but not limited to: credit card expiration date, address for shipment, and credit card billing address. To update this information, sign in to your online account and the appropriate option under Your V.I.P. Membership Details. Medifast will not be responsible for delays in shipment due to non-payment or failure to update your shipping or credit card information with us.

OUT-OF-STOCK MERCHANDISE: Merchandise is subject to availability. In the unlikely event your V.I.P. Membership order cannot be filled as you have placed it, we will attempt to contact you via phone and/or email to inform you and offer alternative selections. We take payment from your credit card at the time we receive your order. A refund will be given where you have already paid for merchandise that is temporarily or permanently unavailable when an alternative selection cannot be offered or we are unable to contact you to offer alternative selections. We reserve the right to ship your V.I.P. Membership order less the out-of-stock merchandise and ship the out-of-stock merchandise separately as it becomes available.

PROGRAM RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATIONS: The V.I.P. Membership program is available to all Medifast customers within the U.S. who are at least 18 years old and have a valid major credit card account (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or debit card bearing one of these logos). V.I.P. Membership orders cannot be shipped to a Post Office (P.O.) Box. V.I.P. Membership orders cannot be shipped to Canada, U.S. territories, or any other destination outside the U.S. The U.S. includes the 50 states and the District of Columbia. V.I.P. Membership orders cannot be shipped to all APO/FPO addresses; you cannot enroll in V.I.P. Membership if you are not able to place your order online for shipment to your APO/FPO address. V.I.P. Membership accounts are limited to one account per customer. Free gift offers are valid only in the U.S. with one free offer per customer. Multiple offer requests for the same customer will be considered void. All orders are subject to approval. Medifast is not responsible for errors on the Web site or any Web site failure. By enrolling in the V.I.P. Membership program, customer agrees that the service is governed by the laws of Maryland. The V.I.P. Membership program cannot be used in combination with any other promotions or discounts.

DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION: All customer information is private and only used to process V.I.P. Membership or non-autoship orders, or to supply you with information from Medifast. Medifast does not share your private information with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy. Please read our Privacy Policy for further information.
