Amanda lost 75 lbs!

Thank you, Medifast, for giving me my life back. It was the easiest thing I've ever done and I wasn't even hungry.

When I was in the Air Force, I sustained an injury that affected my ability to walk. I was also too heavy, and the burden of carrying excess weight was pinching the nerve of my left leg, causing me to fall often. My fear of falling in public was so great that I began to suffer from extreme anxiety and depression. I was considered unemployable, and began to isolate myself even more.

Meanwhile, my husband was successful on the Medifast 5 & 1 Plan, so much so in fact, that his weight fell below mine - and I was working out at the gym with a trainer three times a week! Weighing more than my husband was not acceptable, so I decided to join him.

I saw immediate results and was ecstatic. I lost 50 lbs more in the next 13 weeks. My original goal was 150 lbs. On the maintenance program I lost an additional 25 lbs for a total weight loss of 75 lbs.

My friends and family were amazed at my transformation! At 49 years of age people tell me I look 15 years younger, and some of my friends didn't even recognize me at first. I've found my relationships to be far happier and more active.

Since losing my weight and taking my life back, I no longer take any medications during the day for pain or muscle spasms. I work out at the gym five days a week, two hours a day. This regimen of weights and cardio has allowed me to strengthen my core and overcome my disability. I'm in better shape now and have a better body than I did when I was 20!

Losing my weight with Medifast has changed every aspect of my life. Most important, it has allowed me to take control of a disability I felt would forever rule me.
