Anita Hill

Anita lost 35 pounds!

I had gained 40 pounds after having breast cancer and being on tamoxifen, which has weight gain as a possible side effect. I think I felt sorry for myself and I had a good excuse to gain, but that only made me miserable.

I had tried other diets, but they didn't work because they were hard to stick to. My boss had been on Medifast before and recommended it to me, saying that it was a great way to lose weight fast.

The thing I found easy about Medifast compared to other diet plans was that it told you exactly what to eat. As long as I followed the guidelines, I lost weight. I wasn't ever hungry and was satisfied. Going out to eat was fun; it was like a game to figure out what I could eat and stay on plan. I tried new things, like tilapia and mahi-mahi, and now I eat these on a regular basis.

I am a relatively healthy person to begin with, but when I went for a physical last month, my doctor said my cholesterol was very good. When I went for my 6-month breast cancer check-up, my doctor was almost as excited as I was about my weight loss. He must have told me six times how great it was, congratulating me over and over again.

I walk through the halls at work and people call me skinny and compliment my weight loss. I like myself better so I am happier and easier to get along with. Five co-workers are on the program now thanks to my results with Medifast, including the president and the secretary/treasurer of our company.

*Results vary. Typical weight loss on the Medifast 5 & 1 Plan® is 2-5 lbs per week for the first 2 weeks and 1-2 lbs per week thereafter.
