I always thought that I could just exercise off my excess weight, but one day I realized that wasn't happening. After having four kids, I found that I couldn't lose weight from exercise alone. My youngest son was three years old, and I didn't have the excuse any more that my weight was "baby weight."
When I reached 248 lbs, I was taking two- to three-hour naps each day, and due to that, I wasn't sleeping at all at night. I was grumpy and irritable. My temper was always short, and my kids were affected by my moods. I always felt sick. I would go to bed each night just glad that I had made it through the day.
