Before I started Medifast, I weighed 232 pounds and had terrible weight-related health issues. Due to my weight, I had high blood pressure, plantar fascitis, kidney stones, painful knees and acid reflux. I was at risk for type 2 diabetes after having gestational diabetes with three of my pregnancies- all due to my weight!

All these problems meant I missed a lot of time at work. When I did work, by the end of the day I had little energy for my family, which I really need: I'm a mother of nine. I was so tired of being tired!

Worst of all, my weight was always a source of low self-esteem. I hated the way I looked and how clothes looked on me. I had tried a lot of diets and plans that were successful in the beginning, but I just gave up once I reached a plateau. I think for me it was the lack of support.

I overheard someone talking about a doctor's wife in town who had lost all her weight on Medifast, so I went online to read her story - and ended up reading everyone else's. Then one day my chiropractor was preparing a Medifast Meal, and it smelled good, so I asked about it. A young woman who works at his office told me she'd lost 40 pounds on Medifast. Finally, I asked my husband, and he agreed I should try it.

The first week or two, I saw remarkable improvement in my feet, and after the first ten pounds I lost, people started seeing it in my face. After about two weeks, I'd lost enough weight that my heartburn was gone? today, thanks to losing 127 pounds, I am off all my medications for my weight-related conditions! I've gone from a size 20 to a size 2, I feel great, and have tons of energy and confidence. I can walk for long periods of time and run up and down the stairs without huffing and puffing. My son throws me over his shoulder just because he can, and my hubby's friends compliment him on his great-looking wife! Thanks, Medifast!
