You don't have to work out to lose the weight!

I am a father of three whose wife is active duty in the Coast guard. We moved to Hawaii in August of 2005, and before that we were in California. While there my wife was stationed aboard the Cutter Munro. She was deployed from December 04 to June of 05. While she was gone I was in charge of the household. I had to cook, clean, do laundry, help kids with homework, and still try to work out.

Well the working out went out the window. I was getting little to no exercise. I was a little depressed with my wife gone, so I ate a lot. The pounds started to add up. She came home after a 6-month patrol of the Persian Gulf. I got on the scale one day and saw 236 pounds show up. I was in shock, all my clothes were so tight and some shorts I couldn’t even wear.

Then I was listening to Hudson and Scotty B on Star 101.9 and I heard about their Medifast challenge. I went online and wrote a story and I was picked to compete in the weight loss challenge. For 30 days I followed the Medifast plan to the word. The only working out I did was to take a walk every morning with my youngest daughter. The nice thing about Medifast is that you don’t have to work out to lose the weight..

Well low and behold after the 30 days I had lost 26 pounds. I was in awe of the results. All my clothes were looser, I lost my double chin and I looked and felt great. The best part is the food tastes good and I enjoyed my Medifast Meals every 2-3 hours.

I have now lost a total of 40 pounds. I still want to lose 10-15 more pounds. The holidays were a little rough. I gained 5 pounds back. I will be going back on the program this week to lose the rest of my weight to reach my goal. I will tell you this, for anyone out there that is truly serious about losing weight this year, Medifast is the way to go.

The best advice I can give you is to follow the plan exactly as it is stated and don’t skip any meals. Your body and metabolism need to eat every 2-3 hours for this to work. One last thing, make sure to drink lots of water. This helped to curb my appetite until my next meal. For anyone on the plan keep up the good work, your goal is right around the corner. For anyone just starting out, stick with it and don’t get frustrated, the plan works, let me say that again, the plan works as long as you follow it!!!

Good luck!!!!!!
