Fifteen Weeks to Success - Ten Years of Health and Happiness

My name is Sharon Dorman. I had been heavy and on one diet or another all my life. Some of them worked better than others, but none worked well. I needed results.

When I turned 30, I became very depressed. I was upset about my weight and desperately needed a change in my life. I had a friend that was on the Medifast program and lost a LOT of weight.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw her. I went home that evening and thought how incredible it must make her feel to have people look at her with such excitement and amazement. That’s when I knew; I wanted to feel like that. I was tired of being overweight and knew I needed to do something about it.

I made an appointment with my doctor and talked to him about starting Medifast.

The first three days were a bit hard. I was a little tired and craved food, but I hung in there. I went back to the doctor a week later, weighed in and had lost 8 lbs.

I was ecstatic! I couldn’t wait till my next weigh-in.

I was consistently losing 5 lbs. per week that I tracked on a graph I had made and kept on my refrigerator. I was not only losing pounds, but inches as well. This was the best weight loss program I had ever tried. The results alone were the motivation I needed to stay on the program. I had more energy on the program than I ever had before. I lost a total of 75 lbs in 15 weeks.

People noticed my weight loss all the time.

It wasn’t unusual to hear comments like “WOW, how did you do that?” or, “You look great. ”

Now I knew how my friend felt when I first saw her. What a great feeling!

Shortly after I lost the weight, I went to a family wedding where I hadn’t seen most of the people in over a year.

Many of them did not even recognize me. Everyone was so shocked that I had lost so much weight. It was the first time they had ever met the “real me.”

Well it’s been 10 years since I lost my weight with Medifast and I’ve kept it off.

The secret?

Well it’s really not a secret at all. I just eat right – lean meats, fruits and vegetables.

The biggest contributor to my success is that I still use Medifast 1-2 times a day. I have my weight under control because of Medifast. I used to be a wallflower and really made a point of staying in the shadows. Not anymore!

I’m very outgoing because I feel like a million bucks.
